| A rare and spectacular handwrought sterling repousse cuff by silversmith Peer Smed. He was trained in Denmark, came to the U.S. and worked for Tiffany & Co., then later opened his own shop in New York. The workmanship of this bracelet is superb. The flower and leaves look alive. His pieces are hard to find and this is the first bracelet made by Smed that I have ever seen. Measuring 5 1/4" around in the inside with a 1" opening, it is 1 1/8" wide in the front and tapers to 1/2" in the back. It is not adjustable so for a 6 1/4" wrist. Weighing 26 grams, it is in excellent original condition. Signed Peer Smed Sterling Handwrought 1934. Beautiful in every way. | ||
