I have two hand painted antique porcelain dessert plates 8-3/4" in diameter, both with pattern number 4100 on the back. There is no maker's mark, but I am reasonably certain that the plates are English from about 1830-1850. They are in excellent condition, and the slightly translucent porcelain rings nicely when lightly tapped. The landscape scenes in the centers, as well as the gilding on both plates, is in excellent antique condition. The apple green ground is highly attractive. The listed price is for both plates. After more than 150 years, these plates should stay together.

This fine porcelain plate is 10-1/2" in diameter with a colorful English coat of arms in the center which I have not identified, along with the Latin motto Spes Tuttissima Coelis or "The Surest Hope is in Heaven". The mark on the back is somewhat unusual in that it combines a Chamberlains Worcester mark used from 1816-1845 and a Spode mark for 1796-1833, so the plate should date to about 1833. The condition is excellent antique condition. The plate appears to have been little used, if at all. The gadrooned border has a gilded finish which is in pristine condition, as is the coat of arms in the center. There are three or four tiny with flecks in the brownish red border, very minor in an antique piece that is almost 200 years old. There are no cracks or chips.

This carved bamboo figurine is 13.5" high. The figure is wearing gracefully flowing robes and is holding a lotus blossom in the right hand. There is also a carved lotus blossom on the chest, and the figure appears to be standing on a lotus blossom base. The image may be Kwan Yin, goddess of mercy. There is nice carving for the long hair and the robes in the back, as well as the front. Bamboo is difficult to carve. The figure is certainly of Asian origin, possibly Chinese, but I am not sure. It dates to about 1890-1900, but I cannot be precise. The condition is very good, with a very minor, shallow age crack on the back at the base. No other breaks, chips or other damage.

This bronze cow is about 4" high x 8-1/2" long x 4" deep. There is a beautiful, even dark brown patina, and the details are crisp. The ribs are visible on the body and the face and hooves are finely modeled. I have not found a signature. I am not sure whether the cow is Japanese or Chinese, and I have received expert opinions for both. It dates to the 19th century. It is a fine piece in excellent condition. I would note that there is a diagonal seam on the bottom with a rectangular piece at the end. I believe that the seam and the rectangle are part of the original construction, since the patina is smooth on the bottom.

This unusual pendant/pin is 2-1/4" long, 1-3/8" wide. The large oval base of the piece is rutilated quartz. The bee in the center is 14K yellow gold with an onyx and diamond body, tiny diamonds on the tips of the wings, a ruby eye and a ruby held by the legs. The flower at the top is 14K yellow gold and forms the hooks for the pendant on the back, as well as the holder for the pin on the back. There are no marks, but I have tested the metal and guarantee that it is 14K. This is a fun pendant that can be worn on a sweater or directly on the skin. It dates to about the 1950-1960's, and the condition is excellent.

This is an original oil on board by Ben Benn. The board is 11-3/4" by 9", with frame 16-1/2 by 14". The scene depicts a large reddish bird in a tree, deep in a forest. It is signed and titled at the upper right on the back of the board, "Wood Interior/Ben Benn." I guarantee that the painting is by Benn, since I am selling the painting for a friend who bought it directly from Benn over 60 years ago. The condition is very good, no holes, although a light cleaning may be in order. There is a little of the canvas showing at the lower left of the painting, and it looks like the paint was never applied to the area.

This book measures 9-3/4" by 8-1/2". The book "provides an intimate look at Albright's life through the brooches she wore", including her time as Ambassador to the U.N. and Secretary of State. Albright selected and wore her jewelry to convey diplomatic statements to world leaders she met, an innovative means of communication. There are 176 pages, more than 200 color photos. There is an index illustrated with pictures of the jewelry. The book is autographed, "To Marilyn, Madeleine Albright." It was published in 2009 to accompany the exhibition of Albright's collection of pins at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, which toured the United States and around the world. This is an interesting, fun read in excellent condition with the dust jacket.

This box is 9-1/4" x 3-3/4" x 2" high. The black lacquer top is decorated with two birds and plants and a gold rim at the bottom. The bird at the top looks like a peacock with iridescent red and yellow inlay with a background of plants painted in gold with red and blue iridescent inlay. There is a smaller bird at the bottom, also in yellow, red and blue inlay with similar plants. All the sides of the top have little decorative spots of mother of pearl inlay. The bottom is black lacquer with a simple gold trim at the top rim. I believe that the box dates to about the 1950's or earlier. The condition is very good for such a vintage item. There are a few minor nicks at the edges of the top and the bottom, and a little wear in the gold on the bottom of the lid. The image on the top is in very good condition.

This bracelet is 7 inches or 18.25 cm long, .2 inches or .05 cm wide. There are 10 rectangular diamonds surrounded by diamonds in a pave setting of delicate twists and turns. The bracelet is marked 18K 750 on the clasp with an unidentified cypher that looks like KO, which may be the maker's mark. The other side of the clasp is marked 2.95, which is the carat weight of the diamonds. There is a hinged safety clasp that locks under the clasp, which is almost invisible when the bracelet is closed. The condition is excellent, almost unworn, like new.

This lovely bracelet with fancy, pierced links is 7-3/4" long and weighs 10.5 g or 6.8 dwt. The bracelet is light weight and comfortable to wear. The fine lobster claw clasp is marked 925 for sterling. Two of the links have two cartouche marks: one looks like JZ and the other mark is indistinct. I have tested the links and guarantee that the bracelet is sterling. The design is the same on both sides. It has been very lightly hand polished. This bracelet was made from an antique watch chain that dates to about 1880-1900. The condition is excellent.
