These large sterling earrings are about 1-1/2" in diameter and weigh 25.4 dwt or 38.8 g. They are marked on the back John Iversen in script, Sterling, and there is a simple clip. The asymmetrical roundish top has subtle line texturing. Iversen is still alive, and, I believe that he lives in New York. The earrings date to about the 1980's, and the condition is excellent. I will leave the question of polishing to the buyer.

This etching by Piranesi is 15-1/2" by 10", 23" by 17-1/4" overall. The image is an elaborate commode decorated with horses, birds, putti, classical heads and fleurs de lys, topped by two urns with classical figures flanking a large clock with three full length figures. The background is fanciful and delicate wallpaper that contains scrolls, birds and flying mythological creatures. The etching is signed in the plate Cavalier Piranesi at the lower right. It appears to come from a book and is numbered 55 at the lower right. The etching is beautifully framed with an apparently hand carved frame and an eglomise black "mat" with a silver line next to the etching. Piranesi lived from 1720-1778. While this is certainly an original etching, evidenced by the plate impression on the paper, it is possible that this may be a posthumous print from the 19th century. The condition in the frame appears to be excellent, no foxing, tears or other apparent damage.

This filigree pin/pendant is 3" long, including the bail. It is Edwardian platinum from the 1920's. The previous owner had a device made so that a tube with a retractable bail fits over the pin to convert it to a necklace. The device has been expertly executed, so that the original pin was not altered in any way. There are no marks, but I have tested the piece and guarantee that it is platinum. The condition is excellent.

This quilt measures 69" X 85". The colors on the top are predominantly wine, green and mustard. The quilt squares and most of the quilt have hand stitching. The back is plain white muslin, and there is one long seam that has machine stitched finish on the edge and the seam itself. I am guessing that the quilt is American and dates to about the 1940's. The condition is excellent, and the quilt appears to have been used very little. I have not laundered the quilt.

This Royal Copenhagen porcelain vase stands 12" high, 5" diameter at the top. The gray-blue glaze at the top shades to a lighter gray-blue toward the bottom. There is a large floppy white flower on the front with large, long gray-green leaves, but I do not recognize the flower. On the back are two butterflies. The Royal Copenhagen Denmark mark on the bottom dates the vase to 1967. The condition is excellent.

The smaller beads toward the back on both sides are not pierced. The clasp is an old twist on clasp. The strand dates to about the 1930's to 1950's and is in very good estate condition.

This outstanding Nippon footed cup and saucer have hand painted Art Deco geometric decoration in green, reddish/orange and lots of raised gold, including raised dots around the rim of the saucer and the cup, as well as throughout the design. The porcelain is very fine and translucent. The cup has three graceful feet that turn outwards. The matching saucer is not marked. The saucer is 5-1/2" in diameter and the cup is 2-1/4" high, 3-3/4" in diameter at the top. Since the set is not marked Made in Japan, it dates to about 1920 or earlier. The condition is excellent.

This landscape in oil measures 10" by 15-1/4" including the frame. The painting seems to be on a stiff material which is not canvas, wood or board. The painting itself is quite charming, with a large mountain in the center and an adobe type dwelling on the lower left. There is a small rainbow at the upper left. I do not see a signature on the front, but there is a label on the back that says Van Schaik. I have been unable to identify the artist. The painting dates to about the 1950's, and the condition is good. The painting is a little darker than it appears in the photos, because of the reflection from the flash. It could probably use a cleaning and there is a small flake in the paint at the center right near the frame.

This book measures 9-3/4" by 8-1/2". The book "provides an intimate look at Albright's life through the brooches she wore", including her time as Ambassador to the U.N. and Secretary of State. Albright selected and wore her jewelry to convey diplomatic statements to world leaders she met, an innovative means of communication. There are 176 pages, more than 200 color photos. There is an index illustrated with pictures of the jewelry. The book is autographed, "To Marilyn, Madeleine Albright." It was published in 2009 to accompany the exhibition of Albright's collection of pins at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, which toured the United States and around the world. This is an interesting, fun read in excellent condition with the dust jacket.

This bold pin measures 2-1/2" high by 3" wide. There are large marquise and round rhinestones set in white metal with two large rectangular and four round black stones in the center. Because of the quality, it is curious that I have found no signature on the piece. The pin dates to about the 1940's, and the condition is excellent.
