This necklace consists of a pendant of three cultured pearls, graduated in size from the white pearl 11.5 mm, to the black pearl 12.7 mm, to the yellow pearl 13.9 mm, with prong set diamonds appx. 4 pts. each in between the pearls. The chain is 18K white gold, 18" long set with 18 diamond stations appx. 2-3 pts. each set in bezels. This type of chain is sometimes called diamonds by the yard. The pendant is joined to the chain with three bezel set diamonds about 2-3 pts. each plus two prong set diamonds about 4-5 pts. each. There is a section of chain at the back without diamond stations to allow for adjustment of the length of the chain. The condition excellent, unworn, and the piece dates to about the 1970's. Pearls of this age, produced before the waters became polluted, generally have thicker nacre than new pearls. There is a blemish on the black pearl, which is natural to the organic material.
