| The image size of this original woodcut is 9.84" high by 8.97" wide. There is no signature, but the image is well known, and there is also a valuable special edition. I believe that this print is hand colored by the artist, since the colors match the special edition. The artist William Nicholson is listed. The print is Guardsman from The Horse Guards and dates to 1898. The print is taped to the deep red mat which enhances the dark image which is probably meant to depict a cloudy day in London. It is currently framed in a simple black wood frame which is 5/15" wide. There are no tears or rips in the print. | ||
