Absolutely smashing prewar Lufthansa badges by C.E. Juncker Berlin SW. The first is the rarely seen civilian radio operator. Terrific condition as per images with nothing more then gentle age wear. The second is the (Somehow) even scarcer 8cm enamel pilot badge also by C.E. Juncker Berlin SW. The blue enamel has no chips ad the badge is in fabulous overall condition with nothing more then very gentle age wear. After the Versailles treaty Germany was denied an armed air force. To prepare a cadre of trained pilots for a likely future war Lufthansa was used as a training ground and many famous airplanes such as the Condor and JU52 were used for passenger and cargo purposes. With refitting these aircraft were easily turned into bombers and the pilots could easily change uniforms. At the end of the day it is pieces like this that we do this for, right?
