| Very high quality hat badge for a Japanese naval officer. Front shows a metal fouled anchor under a cherry blossom with elaborate bullion wreath and border. Have seen this termed as "Flagstaff Officer". Front is in perfect condition. Back is in solid condition but shows some age wear. Due to the fact it is thin leather the back of this type of badge is is particularly susceptible to stress. Still very good condition. The final picture shows the thickness which is a reflection of the quality. Probably dates to the early 1900's. Real nice item here. | ||||||
