| Very nice Prussian NCO pickelhaube. This had a cloth field cover on it, apparantly from 1919 until last week. A local customer took the cover off and brought the helmet to me to sell. The outside is near mint. with beautiful finish and undamaged parts. The only problem is the stitching on the rear right visor is out for about three inches. If not being lifted it stays in place nicely anddoesn't need to be restitched in my oppinion (See photos). The inside shows age as it was not protected by the field cover. All the hardware is there and liner is not broken or missing any leather. Rear right visor around five different unit and depot markings. They are faded and the rear visor inside shows age so it is difficult to read many of them. From what I can gather the helmet was issued in 1905 and reissued for WWI in 1915. Someone with more time then I may be able to figure out the units. A really nice spiked helmet. | ||||||||||||||
