| Just right for the man of the house to do his correspondence or for the lady to write notes to her friends. This wonderful little furniture set is a fine product of the firm Gebruder Schneegas and made of golden oak, sometimes called 'yellow cherry'. The desk is 5 1/2 inches wide, 4 3/4 inches high at the back and 3 inches deep. It is in lovely condition except for a few tiny wear marks here and there. All of the drawers are functional except the one on the left about the writing surface. It has been glued in place. The pewter drawer pulls are all replicas of the ones that were missing. The back of the chair is 3 5/8 inches high; the seat 2 inches wide at the front and 1 1/2 inches deep. The front legs, although darker in color, are original. Circa 1900.
