| Faux grained furniture such as this was produced by companies in Germany including Johann Daniel Kestner, Jr. This secretary has a fall-front as well as 3 functional outer drawers. The turned wooden feet at the front as well as the trim are stained black to resemble ebony. The desk is signed 'Conrad' in 3 different places, possibly the name of the maker. It is 5 1/4 inches tall, 3 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. The crown at the center top has been broken and re-glued, but otherwise the over all condition is very nice.
