| This is another French majolica plate with the cheery triangular pansy design. It is pictured on page 36 of Pierre Faveton's book "Les Barbotines". The plate is 8 1/4 inches in diameter, has the H. Boulenger marking. The plate has a crack on the edge which is approximately 3/4 inch long but which does not go though to the face of the plate. This crack can be seen on the photo on the lower right corner. Also there is some crazing. The plate is quite a lovely piece. Circa 1900. | |||||
