A pair of Murano glass figurines, designed and made, most likely, by Archimede Seguso in the mid-fifties. The male figurine is 11 1/2 inches (29,2 cm) tall, while the female figurine is 10 3/4 inches (27,3 cm) tall. The male figurine is in fine condition, while the basket of the female figurine has come disjointed and needs to be repaired/glued. Both figurines have gold flecks, pontil-bottoms and age-appropriate scratches on their bottoms. Great details of the faces. Unsigned. Though both Archimede Seguso and Vincenzo Nason made art glass objects in these color combinations, there is greater likelihood that they were made by Seguso Vetri d'Arte (please refer to page 66 of Leslie Pina's book, 'Italian Glass century 20' for a bowl in the color combination of the figurines - shown in the last picture here for your convenience).
