Here for your buying pleasure is a really lovely fashion doll antique dressing screen! Circa 1880's.
It is constructed of gesso over papier mache and than was "sponged" to give it a textured effect. It is highlighted over the texture with gold leaf, giving it a beautiful contrasting look to it. It is finished with decorative hand painted floral motifs of roses to the panels, at the top of the screen, in colors of pink, blue, and cream.
It is held together with black dyed muslin cloth in-between the screen panels. It stands 13 inches in height, 13-1/2 inches wide. It would go perfectly with a 17 inch fashion doll.
It would look extraordinary with your fashions in a bedroom scene! True antique fashion doll screens are seldom seen and are highly prized by collectors! Don't miss this fine addition to any doll collection!
