| Delightful luminous 19th century seascape oil painting signed by the Italian artist Ricci in the lower right. This marvelous painting depicts a sailor in a small boat on a beach with a deeply luminous sunset sky. This serene setting was painted by an artist of obvious talent. The painting has been placed on a new wood stretcher to accommodate a very rare original 19th century Hudson River School acanthus gilt composition frame in perfect condition. The frame, which retains its original gilding, is of a type that is eagerly collected in the current world market. The painting is exhibits modest craquelure consistent with its age.
