| This circa 1820 dish was printed using an early technique known as "BAT" which predates transfer from paper patterns (what we usually think of as transfer ware). It is an inky image of a scene called "Rural" with no other identifying mark. The 5-1/2 inch dish is in mint condition apart from an 1/8-inch factory crack on the rim. The rim itself is painted in cobalt and there is an inner ring of pink luster. | ||
