| This is a 19thc. majolica comport with reticulated border, along with six matching plates. The central motif is a large strawberry leaf in blue-green, with pink strawberry flowers, fern fronds, and a blue bow. The base of the comport has additional Greek key trim. The comport measures 8-3/4 inches in diameter by 4-1/2 inches tall, the plates are 7-3/4 inches in diameter. The condition of all the pieces is excellent with normal wear to the surfaces of some of the plates (typical for this type of soft ceramic), but no chips, cracks, stains or repairs. There is an identifying mark on some of the plates, which I have photographed. Please contact me for additional photographs of individual plates. | ||
