Culture: Greek. Date: Late 6th - Early 5th Century B.C. Condition: Excellent, restored, with custom base. Provenance: Formerly in the collection of Axel Guttmann (AG 64/ H 319), Berlin, Germany (1944-2001), acquired in Munich in 1994. Ex: American private collection. Measurements: Height: 9 3/4 in. (25 cms). The helmet is constructed of a single sheet of bronze. A raised ridge rises to a point over the crown serving to strengthen the helmet.
