| Culture: EASTERN ROMAN, (PALMYRA). Date: 3RD CENTURY A.D. Material: LIMESTONE. Provenance: EX: GERMAN ART MARKET; EX: AMERICAN PRIVATE COLLECTION. Condition: INTACT, MOUNTED ON A CUSTOM BASE STAND. Measurements: 4.75 INCHES HIGH, (11 CMS). With straight lips, straight nose, and almond-shaped eyes beneath grooved eyebrows, his long hair arranged in rows of voluted curls and surmounted by a Phrygian cap. Cf. a similar head in G.
