| Culture: Roman. Date: 3rd Century A.D. Material: Bronze. Consition: Intact, mounted on a custom base. Provenance:Ex: German art market; Ex: American private collection. Measurements: 2.75 inches in diameter (7 cms). The roundel with a facing head of a lion in high relief, the eyes heavily lidded with grooved whiskers the open mouth gripping a ring with a chain that has 1 1/2 inch still preserved (4 cms).
