| Culture: Greek/ Phoenician. Date: 5th - 4th Century B.C. Condition: Complete with some minor professional restoration. Material: Terracotta. Provenance: Ex: Early private collection; Ex: Asfar and Sarkis, 1968, Beirut, Lebanon. Measurements: 17 1/2 inches tall (44.5 cms). Standing on an integral plinth, his right hand raised to his shoulder, and his lft resting on his chest. His face is framed with a cap-like row of curls in the archaic fashion, and in resemblence to the God Apollo. A very pretty statue with some marine deposits, from the maritime trade thorughout the Eastern Mediterranean. | ||
