GREEK BRONZE HANDLE WITH GORGON HEAD, 5TH CENT BC

Culture: Greek. Date 5th Century B.C. Material: Bronze. Condition: Intact, with attractive brown patina. Provenance: Ex: American private collection; Ex: New York art market. Measurements: 6.5 inches long (16.5 cms). The handle is fluted, probably that of an oinochoe, it termiated below with a head of a gorgon.
