This scarce coin is a silver triobol attributed to the city mint of Kebren, Troas in Asia Minor. This coin is dated circa 480-450 B.C., and is in about extremely fine condition (EF-/EF). This coin is approximately 1.3 gms, is 8mm in diameter, and has a dark gray patina. This coin features a bust of Apollo facing left, and has "Archaic Period" type artistic style with a slight smile and braded hair. The reverse features a bust of a ram facing left, within an incuse punch square. The Apollo on the obverse may not represent Apollo, but rather a Korai, as this bust also is seen with earrings along with the long braded hair.
