Ancient Syrian clay mother goddess figure
A superb Syrian clay mother goddess figure. A tall hand modelled clay figure with pinched nose, button eyes and wearing elaborately decorated necklace and waistband. Breasts and genitalia clearly defined, wide hips with incised line separating legs. Intact with no restoration, very rare to find intact, majority of these figures were purposely broken, possibly in ritual. Guaranteed authentic.

Dating to the late bronze age circa 1900-1700 BC.

Measures 15cm height / 16.5cm inc stand.
