A rare Scythian / Steppe culture gold plaque in repousse, depicting a tiger devouring a caprid. Such plaques adorned clothing and headwear etc of the aristocracy of ancient Scythia. Similar plaques from the Kul-Opa treasure can be seen in the Hermitage museum Russia. Comes with featured display stand. Dating to circa 400-300 BC. Measures 5cm height / 9.3cm height on stand.
