Gorgeous Bronze Greek "Gorgon" Head Patera Handle 100 B.C. Found near Jerusalem in the Holy Land. 47mm x 26mm. Originally a handle of a Patera (sacrificial implement). Patera's are often depicted in early Roman imagery and coins as "feeding a snake on an alter with a patera".
