Vintage Japanese ceramic or earthenware bowl. This bowl hails from the Seto region of Japan, renowned for its many kilns which produce fine earthenware, known as yaki. The bowl features an earthtone crackled glaze and indentations along the rim. There are kanji written on the bottom in relief against a pale red color. This piece is in excellent condition and measures approximately 2" tall and 5 1/2" in diameter at the widest part. It dates to the mid Showa-Period (c.1960).
