| Vintage Japanese ceramic or earthenware tea bowl, known as Chawan. This charming bowl is finished with dripped black glaze in the raku style, and has a distinctive rustic charm, accented by the asymmetrical shape of the rim. The chawan measures about 2 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" diameter at the rim, and is in pristine condition. It bears the artist's signature stamp on the bottom. This piece dates to the mid Showa-Period (c.1970). | |||||||||
