Greece, Western Empire, ca. 3rd century BCE. Nice pair of pottery pieces from the Greek culture! First, a small pythos of rounded form, small nipple at base, thin spout and strap handle. Along with a nice spindle flask with long foot and thin flaring neck. Size: 6-3/4" H for spindle. Spindle intact with wear as shown, pythos with single repair to neck and handle.

Provenance: Ex-private Palm Beach, Florida collection, acquired between 1980 and 1990.

Roman and Islamic periods, ca. 300 CE for Roman example, ca. 1000 CE for Byzantine example. First, miniature glass cup in olive green glass, with rolled rim. Next, cut glass perfume jar with circle inside of diamond shape on each side - areas of wonderful iridescence. Size: Cup measures 3/4" H. Perfume vessel 1-3/4" H. Crack in Roman bowl, losses to rim of Byzantine jar.

The scene appears to show to lovers engaging in sexual activities, with one person's head at the waist of the standing central figure. Celtic tribal version of the Macedonian Philip II showing Zeus on the obverse in profile looking right. Reverse shows Philip's horse that won at the Olympic games. Much nicer than most tribal versions minted during this time period! Size: 26mm in diameter; 13.9 grams. Fine to Very Fine.

Ends of bracelet with double ridges and "feather" pattern extends from each end about 2-1/2". Bracelet has been mounted on a Bob Dodge original base in the form of a human hand and arm-bone, nails painted red and golden-toned ring on ring finger. Bracelet measures 3-1/4"D.
