Khmer, Angkor period, Bayon style, 12th century AD. Superb carved sandstone head depicts Vishnu with eyes open and serene brow, slight smile upon his lips. Wearing a tiara with bud on top and incised floral band. Long ears symbolize wisdom and longevity. Head measures 8-1/2"H x 4-1/2"W. Truly a masterpiece of Khmer art! Intact and generally excellent with minor loss to nose and chip to right ear.

Cambodia, 11-12th Century AD. Carved sandstone lintel fragment with four celestials depicted riding a bull in high relief. All celestials wear crowns with buds on top as well as kilts. Bull has dewlap, ear, horn, hoof and nose detail. Trace remains of paint on faces and bull. Scene set in front of raised floral frame. On museum quality stand. Frieze: 14"H x 12"W, on stand: 16-1/4"H. Part of larger scene. Surface wear, else intact.

Cambodia, Ca. 12th-14th Century CE. Bronze fitting has curved handle in shape of an exposed bud, middle features a dragon head, front has a raised spike. Cracking around pole/rope hole, interior of ring encrustation with iron oxides indicating it was supported with an iron rod. Hooks like this were used to hold the ropes while riding elephants. 6-3/4"L, intact/generally excellent with surface wear, as shown. Fine and extremely rare!
