Pre-Columbian Chimu Silver Tweezer Implement
Northern Peru, Ca 1000 to 1400 CE. Large, solid tweezer in the form of an abstract face with long nose and rounded eyes. Tweezers such as this were used to pluck hair off the bodies of men and women - long before Gillette was available! 65 mm high x 65 mm wide. Intact and excellent and would make an interesting pendant.

PROVENANCE Ex-Pennsylvania collection acquired in the 1960's.
