Guest Book
Ancient Greece, Hellenistic, ca. 2nd to 3rd century BCE. An elegant fragment of a female figurine, most likely a muse, carved from white marble. She stands with her body weight resting on her left leg, as we see her in the midst of a forward stride. The cascading draperies of her chiton and cloak accentuates the curves of her lower body. Custom, museum quality stand. Size: 2.75" W x 7.25" H (7 cm x 18.4 cm); 7.5" (19.1 cm) with stand.

Condition: A fragment, but oh what a fragment indeed!

Provenance: Ex-private New Jersey collection acquired before 1990
