Very unusual ancient Roman Glass Tear Vial in flask shape. miniature form. Base flattened in an almost lozenge shape, rim everted. Pleasant green color with areas of silvery iridescence. 1-5/8"L x 5/8" W at rim. Probably made in Roman Egypt, ca. 50 to 150 A.D. Choice condition. PROVENANCE: Ex-private California Collection acquired in Egypt in 1953. Authenticity Guaranteed |
