Inscribed in hieroglyphs with “Amen Re is Lord, Lord of the double truth” The decoration of the scarab consists of a playing board, a sun disc and a basket flanked by two reeds. These hieroglyphs are to be read as Jmn-Ra "Amun-Ra". A winged sun disc is visible in the upper part of the decoration. This sign was a protective symbol which often accompanied gods and Pharaohs.
