This is a woman's headdress we purchased in Xia He, Gansu Province in China. The headdress is made from wool with sections of corduroy, silver, Tibetan coins,bits of coral and amber beads. The coral in the center of the silver work is a traditionally dyed coral. The amber may be synthetic. These are worn on special occasions, coming from the back of the head down over the back. Still used today, these pieces are really more used than antique and this piece dates probably back 30 - 50 years. ...click for details

This is a two panel wedding blanket from the Maonan of Guangxi Province, China. It has a flax/cotton base, silk embroidery and an indigo cotton border. Not alot of age, but very beautiful. It depicts pheonix, birds and floral patterns. Measrues 42 x 54 inches (107 x 137cm) with the borders, 28 x 41 inches (71 x 104cm)without.

This is a colorful Zhuang two panel wedding blanket from Guangxi China. Made with a flax and cotton base and silk embroidery. It also has an indigo died cotton border of a different age than the panels. This piece estimated to be 30 - 40 years old. Some missing embroidery, fading and other flaws typical with age.
