A charming mid 18th c Qianlong famille rose export plate of harmonious and balanced design, featuring lush famille rose floral sprays interspersed with more traditional Chinese motifs such as prunus, pine, and bamboo sprigs drawn in mocai grisaille. Near the center of the plate is a gilt-decorated praying mantis.
Condition: Excellent antique condition. One chip to rim (see picture with the pink arrow). A few tiny fleabites to the foot. [Please examine all photos carefully, as they are part of the condition report.]
