Sukhothai, Large Underglazed Kalong Dish

A large underglazed black Kalong dish with flower design in interior, exterior decorated with typical Kalong ribbon design.

Age: Thailand, Sukhothai, Kalong Kiln, circa 15th century
Measurement: Height 5.5 C.M. / Diameter 33.5 C.M.
Condition: Nice condition overall (some repairs on body and rim). Please refer to enlargement photos for more details.

*** It is very difficult these days to find the perfect Kalong wares due to the thinness of the plate and most of the Kalong had long been buried underground for more than 600 years. The weight of the sand and soils could damage the plate.
