Bayon, Khmer Bronze Very Long Curved Sword

This very long curved sword has a bronze hilt, a iron blade, bronze hand guard and cover. The hilt is delicately shaped like a circular band. The blade is forged iron and the cover made from wood and decorated with bronze and somewhat corroded. Iron is a major metal found within Khmer territory. A long sword is used as a slashing weapon (please email us for more photos).

Age: Khmer, Bayon style, circa 12th-13th century
Measurement: Length 129.2 C.M. / Width 5.5 C.M. (size excluding stand)
Condition: Some expected abrasion on the blade, hilt and cover, some cracks on the cover and hilt, the sword and the cover are naturally attached together due to long burial time underground. Please refer to the enlargement photos for more details.
