Han Dynasty, Chinese Pottery Granary with Green Glaze

Chinese pottery green glazed granary, with cyclindrical shape, decorated with bands of incised lines, and supported by three legs. Lead glaze with copper is the main colorant used in Han period to produce green glaze. Greenware became popular during the Eastern Han period.

Age: China, Han Dynasty, circa B.C. 206 - A.D. 220
Measurement: Height 27.6 C.M. / Diameter 19.5 C.M.
Condition: Well-preserved old burial condition overall with some amount of soil adherings (some abrasions and wearings on the piece due to the long burial time underground). Please refer to the enlargement photos for more details.
