 Burmese Mandalay Painted Wooden Monk

Seated with legs crossed on a contour base, holding an alms bowl in his left hand while putting his right hand into the bowl, decorated with red lacquer and traces of gold leaves.

Age: Burma, Mandalay period, circa 19th century
Measurement: Height 8.5 C.M. / Width 5.5 C.M.
Condition: Nice condition overall, with heavy erosion on the bottom of the base (some expected degradation such as cracks and wears due to age). Please refer to the enlargement photos for more details.
