Early 20th Century, Burmese Wooden Crowned Buddha

Burmese wooden crowned Buddha, or sometimes known as 'King Buddha', wearing diadem-crowns and ornaments of kings instead of ordinary monk's robes. Crowned Buddha represents the Buddha's role as a universal sovereign.

The Buddha is sitting on base, with calm expression, wearing elaborately carved dresses, coated with golden color.

Age: Burma, Early 20th century
Measurement: Height 28 C.M. / Width 13.5 C.M.
