19th Century, Mandalay, Burmese Wooden Standing Buddha

Burmese wooden buddha standing on a lotus base, the left hand clasps his robe, lacquered and gilded with inlay of colorful glass pieces on the headband and the borders of the robe. The buddha's robe is elegant with gold sheet and delicately carved as layers of pleat. The folds of the robe flow over each other.

Age: Burma, Mandalay period, 19th Century
Measurement: Height 78.5 C.M. / Width 41.7 C.M. (size excluding stand)
