Korean 19th C. COOKIE MOULDS X 3 Carved wood
Offered here are three wooden sweet moulds, which I bought in Korea during the mid-60's. They were made and used in Korea during the Choson dynasty, 19th century, to make designs on sweet pastries. The carving is all hand done, of course, and original to the maker. The wood is a dense, hard wood of fine grain. I'm not sure of the species. The moulds measure 13-15 inches in length and are 1 3/4-2 1/8 inches in width. The condition of all three pieces is good, with no breaks, stains or repairs.
