A antique Chinese thickly potted crackle-glazed porcelain bowl in the style of 'ge' wares made in the Song Dynasty (960-1279). The bowl is covered inside and out with a blue-grey glaze suffused with dark grey ('iron wire') and gold ('golden thread') crackle. The six lobed body and cover of the box applied with a translucent pale blue glaze. The cover with incised decoration within each lobe, the center set with a 'stem' knop. Age: Southern Song Dynasty (Circa 1127-1279) Condition: Very good condition, no major breaks or chips. In one of the pictures, it shows that the cover and base do not sit properly. They actually do, but for that picture, the cover was not correctly rotated in it's correct position on the base.
