The short flared rolled mouth over broad shoulders with the sides tapering to a rounded foot. The crackle consisting of golden thread and iron. The glaze is silky to the touch. The inside left unglazed as well as the base.
The base contains an older collection id number previous to my purchase.
There are no breaks. The vase has a few areas of glaze loss that occurred through the initial firing. Please see the pictures.
This vase is very heavy and is approximately 31-1/2 cm high by 29 cm diameter.
The age of this vase has been put at possibly 17th century or maybe even older. There is also the possibility that it may be Korean.
A beautiful large vase that makes a statement.
