A generously knopped and handsome heavy baluster wine glass with round funnel bowl supported on a half knop above a stem with three knops with interconnecting tear: a flattened knop, a smaller flattened knop and a true baluster knop standing on a domed and folded foot. A confident and iconic example of the English heavy baluster in superb condition made from lead crystal metal with a slightly brackish hue. This glass is well made and has a good, solid feel to it. Glasses of the period typically have some inclusions. This glass is no exception and has several unobtrusive air bubbles, mainly in the top knop (please see photographs).
Height 6¼ inches;
