A very pleasing Jacobite wine glass with a round funnel bowl engraved with a central rose, two buds, six leaves and a butterfly above a plain, hollow stem standing on a folded conical foot. The engraving on this glass would appear to be that of Engraver E as identified by Geoffrey Seddon in Jacobites and their Drinking Glasses. All the features of the engraving appear to be in accord with illustrations Plate 115b (a seven petaled double rose), Plate 114a, c and j, (the opening bud, the closed bud and the butterfly). The engraving displays the crispness typical of Engraver E.

Height - 6 inches;
Bowl diameter - 2⅜ inches;
Foot diameter - 2⅞ inches.

This glass is offered in excellent condition with no apparent faults.
