ON SALE NOW! Presenting a beautiful 24 inch antique bisque Walkure German doll with ball jointed body. Her bisque socket head was made by Kestner for the Kley & Hahn doll factory in Germany, which accounts for the wonderful quality bisque and the lovely detailed painting of her face.
Kley and Hahn doll factory was founded in 1902, and the Walkure doll was advertised by the factory the following year in 1903.
This doll has beautiful brown glass eyes, lovely complexion, and nicely painted eyelashes all the way around her eyes. Her lips are beautiful also. Her brown eyes open and close and she has the original wax on her eyelids, but her hair eyelashes are gone. She has pierced ears, and a few tiny chips in front at the ear pierce holes. She has small round green glass earrings.
She is incised at the back of her head, Walkure Germany. I see a faint and small 4 at the top of head near pate, and a 12 at the bottom of the socket head. She has no damage, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs to her head.
She has what appears to be her original human hair wig, which is full and curly.
Her ball jointed body has the original finish and is stamped on her bottom, Made in Germany. Her body has normal age wear and some re-enforcement material around right arm hole and tops of lower legs and ball inside hip. She has her original red paint lines on fingers and toes.
She is redressed in a cute light beige dress with lace trims, wide lace panel down the front and dark brown rosettes and ribbon tie to make it a low waist style. She has a sleeveless slip, drawstring pantaloons with lace trim, black long stockings, and oilcloth tie shoes with bows. Her ivory colored antique lace cap with silk ribbon is gorgeous and compliments her beautiful face and hair.
