Presenting an Alexander composition McGuffy Ana that is very hard to find in this large 24” size.
She is a truly wonderful example with original clothing, good color, and in great condition.
She is marked on her head “Princess Elizabeth”/Alexander Doll Co.” Her dress is tagged, “McGuffy Ana/Alexander N. Y. U.S.A.”
McGuffy Ana’s composition is in lovely condition. She has no cracks or chips and I cannot see any crazing either. She has nicely blushed cheeks. Her real hair eyelashes have been professionally replaced, as well as one chipped finger-tip. She has been re-strung, as original stringing was very loose.
Her nice blond human hair wig is in braids with curly bangs at her forehead.
McGuffy Ana’s clothes and shoes are original. She has a light blue print cotton dress. She has a white organdy pinafore over her dress that ties in the back. She has her original white organdy slip/underwear onesie with embroidered ruffle trim on each. There has been some mending done on the clothes.
She wears her original black patent boot shoes with 2 black snaps. I have added rayon vintage socks.
She was made about 1937-1942. I bought her from the original owner’s daughter, who found her in a locked trunk recently. She is from smoke free homes.
She lists in the #33 Madame Alexander Price Guide for $750.00-1,500.00, and in the 12th Edition Doll Values for $900.00-1,000.
This is truly an outstanding doll from this era for your collection. She is quality and quite charming!
