Watercolor on paper board by Lloyd Ray Ney. Ney - 1893 - 1964, b. Pa., lived in New Hope, Pa. 1925 - 1964. Studied - Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, winner of the Cresson Prize, WPA commissions, his non-objective paintings were included in 15 years of exhibitions at the Guggenheim Museum [ 1947 - 1955]. This work is in very good original condition, frame is original, and measures app. 19" X 25", signed Ney,'61.

He was a member of the Philadelphia Art Alliance, and exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, National Academy of Design, and the Butler Art Institute.
