SOLD Thank you so much!
All rested and ready for a new day of play, this antique German all bisque child is seldom found in this size and such amazing condition for being around 100 years old! She is displayed on a little oak doll bed available separately. If you are looking for a collector’s dream, she would be a wonderful choice!
DESCRIPTION: She is marked 602 on the back of her head with a size #1. Her arms and legs have matching numbers and/or size numbers. Her swivel neck aids in posing and her blue glass sleep eyes are like new in original set. She retains her original cardboard pate and ash blond mohair wig.
I appreciate the details of blushed dimpled cheeks, open mouth with 2 sculpted teeth and deep philtrum, double chin, defined eye lids with softly painted lashes, nicely arched, one-stroke brows, a plump little torso with tummy button, her chubby dimpled knees, and last but not least, her rumpled socks and black “Mary Jane” style shoes. She’s a very special little toddler and would be perfect displayed with a larger doll or bear that would look after her.
CONDITION: Excellent! I note only one tiny nick on her torso at the back of the neck as shown in the photo, which is barely noticed beneath her curls.
CLOTHING: Though apparently newer, she looks sweet as a rose in her soft, petal pink, short sleeved organza frock with rows of gathered pink lace trim and matching silk hair bow, she loves to watch your lips curl upwards into a smile every time you walk by. Underneath are lace trimmed white cotton slip and pantaloons.
